Translations - Types of documents
Our specialised translations undergo several processing stages: gathering information from a wide range of source document formats, accurately rendering the message in the target language and delivering the final documents in any required format.
This results in two "exact" translations that are true to the original in both content and form.
The most common electronic formats are those supported by Microsoft Office, namely Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
Other frequently used source documents are in PDF format. Their translation requires specific conversions in editable formats and we always pay special attention to page layout, image resolution and font type, which must be identical to those in the final document.
We have also translated projects consisting of web-based files (html, xml, asp, php) and we have converted the characters specific to the target languages so that the translation can be displayed correctly in all Internet browsers.
We have successfully used translation memories in standard format .tmx in order to process documents in PageMaker, FrameMaker, QuarkXPress, InDesign, and Corel Ventura.
Moreover, we have developed fast and accurate procedures in order to handle any conversion and transmission issues relating to such documents and to provide you with complete and clear-cut solutions.
